Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Battle of the Labyrinth is an exciting fiction novel that keeps your attention until the end. Percy Jackson has to go to high school orientation, because he got kicked out of his last school, again! While he is there he notices that things don’t seem quite right, and later he figured out why! He ran into a mortal who could see through the mist and a cheerleader who isn’t who she has been disguised as. Camp Half-blood realizes that some how they are going to have to fight the titan lord, Kronos. They figured out that they would have to travel through the labyrinth, underground tunnels that have no reason for their twists and turns. Will Camp Half-blood be saved, or will the Titans over rule?
I really liked the continuous writing style from the books before. I like how the characters keep building and growing to their fullest potential. I think that one of the biggest strengths of the book is the writers ability to keep the reader interested the entire time. Every time I picked up the book, I would read about 100 pages because I just couldn’t put it down!
I would recommend this book to anyone who has read the series before because it is intense! First of all, the book keeps you interested to the point where your heart is racing because you favorite character is in a fight for their life. It also teaches you many things about Greek Gods and Greek Mythology. Finally, I would recommend this book because it makes you think that you are running for your life just like the characters in the book.
I read this book in the Fourth Quarter, and I would give it a 10/10. I finished and surpassed my goal, so I am done with my reading challenge! I read 1,232 pages this quarter.
